Kallisto in Essen

We have been regular customers, I drank Samos, the first glass was right, the second glass was much darker. We complained immediately, but the waiter claimed that I had also drunk the wine beforehand. We said no and then he got cheeky. The older waiter was so rude and rude that we let the boss come. Unfortunately, we quickly noticed that he was also very unfriendly. It's a shame that such a beautiful restaurant has such a bad service. Never again ... Marion with a friend

Very very good food. Super friendly staff. The choice of dishes is good. Regardless of whether you want to sit outside or inside, this is possible depending on the weather. The premises are very nicely designed. The toilets are very clean. Another thing to mention is the salad buffet, which is always fresh and tasty. We look forward to our next visit.

First things first, we're full. But unfortunately the menu has changed for the worse and the quality of the food has deteriorated. It was partly cold, the gyros too dry, meat not well done, weird pizza bread that was also cold and dry. There are new staff in the house, maybe the management has changed too. I used to be different there, it was kind of weird. Too bad.

Were eating there. Extremely bad, garlic bread cold. Gyros cold, fries oily. Beer stale. Really not recommended. No star-star yes

A very nice place. We liked the food very much. The staff was extremely friendly and open. The ambience is super nice and all in all we really enjoyed it there. If it weren't for the fact that a family with a dog suddenly took a seat at the table next to us around the corner. We are animal-friendly, but our ideas do not allow animals to come near food, especially for hygienic reasons. So it is unfortunately a one-time visit :(

We were there for the first time today, we really enjoyed it !!! Staff is very very friendly and courteous, would even be informed when smoking that my food is on the table. Large and delicious portions, everyone will be satisfied. What annoys me personally is the reviews like ... the meat wasn't warm enough, or, I waited too long, my face, when you see that the store is full, then you probably assign it to it for a long time wait is. We've been to Essen with my husband, I think, and it's worth waiting here !!! Point. Whoever has something to complain about and pretends to ... should eat at home and is good.

Eating average. But when the boss personally starts to insult customers aggressively and argue loudly, then you have no business in the restaurant business. Not a good recommendation from the nearby hotel. Where not to eat in Essen: Kallisto. Too bad.

There is the best gyro here and there. Starters Main course are 1A. Prices of course higher than the Greek around the corner, but also 5 classes better.

Great restaurant with Greek specialties. The restaurant is very spacious and you can usually get a table even without a reservation. The dishes are delicious and reasonably priced. We would love to come back.

Since I stayed at the hotel around the corner, I went to Kallisto for dinner. I was greeted by a very nice and attentive service. The food was just as delicious as it looks in the picture. The portion size was almost too big. Anyone staying at the AstoriaCityResort should definitely have dinner at the Kallisto, it was a nice evening.
